Tishcon Donates 1 Million Children’s Chewable Multivitamins to Vitamin Angels

Vitamin Relief USA gratefully accepted a donation of 100,000 bottles of children's chewable multi-vitamin/mineral supplements from Tishcon Corp. Tishcon's contribution to hurricane relief is in addition to the over eight million children's chewables that it annually donates to VRUSA for needy, homeless and poor children in the U.S.  "This is an extraordinary display of corporate generosity, and, on behalf of the young victims of Katrina and Rita, we deeply thank our friends at Tishcon Corp. as well as all the companies who have contributed to our relief effort," says Michael Morton, Executive Director of VRUSA.

When The Healthy Foundation/Vitamin Relief USA began in 1999, Raj Chopra, CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of Tishcon Corp. immediately understood the wisdom of providing malnourished children and seniors with daily multi-vitamins. With the support of Tishcon Corp. President Vipin Patel and Vice President Arun Chopra, the company began a steady stream of donated multivitamins to support Vitamin Relief USA programs throughout the United States.

Mr. PALLONE. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize the gracious humanitarian efforts of the Tishcon Corporation, a company that manufactures vitamins and nutritional supplements. Throughout the years, this company has generously donated vitamins, nutritional supplements, money, and time to benefit those in need around the world.

In addition to providing multivitamins for children, Tishcon Corporation has provided over 2,500 multivitamins to at risk homeless adults and senior citizens every day. Not only does this company provide vitamins and supplements to those in need, they have also donated money to assist in the distribution of these as well.

I ask my colleagues in the United States House of Representatives to join me in recognizing the outstanding humanitarian accomplishments of Tishcon Corporation, an exemplary model of corporate humanity and citizenship in today's world of business.
